Chavutti Thirumal London: Stoke Newington and Tufnell Park

Chavutti Thirumal

Chavutti Thirumal translates to 'Massage by Foot Pressure' and has been developed from the traditional South Indian Martial Art 'Kalari Payattu' centuries ago.

A Chavutti treatment feels like no other massage, it is deep and powerful on all levels, yet surprisingly fluid and smooth - restorative and healing.

Also referred to as 'Indian Rope Massage', it is unique as the practitioner uses her feet to deliver almost the entire treatment, holding on to a rope overhead for support and control of body weight. This remarkable technique enables maximised movement so that the recipient's spine and back can be lengthened with flowing continuous strokes covering the whole body from fingertips to feet.

Chavutti Thirumal is ideal for Martial Artists, Sports people and dancers to keep their bodies in top condition - strong, flexible and agile. The beauty of this treatment is that it can also be adapted to a person who doesn't exercise much or sits by a desk for many hours, because depth of pressure is completely controlled. The many benefits can be enjoyed by all.

What are the benefits of Chavutti Thirumal treatments?

The body's energetic channels, or nadis, are activated, the Lymphatic system is stimulated, and all major muscles are ironed out, stretched and toned. Chavutti Thirumal helps relieve muscle tensions and increase flexibility, stimulates all circulatory systems of the body, and can clear emotional and physical blocks. It works profoundly on the energetic body leaving the recipient with a sense of empowerment and feeling grounded.
